BurlingtonGreen Eco-Film Festival: Minimalism
Wednesday November 15 2017, 6:30 - 8:30 pmFilm Length: 80 min
Venue: Burlington Public Library (Central Branch)
Admission: $5, Free for BG members!
Presented in partnership with the Burlington Public Library & Burlington Green Environmental Association, we invite you to join us for this special screening of Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things.
Minimalism examines the many flavors of minimalism by taking the audience inside the lives of minimalists from all walks of life—families, entrepreneurs, architects, artists, journalists, scientists, and even a former
Wall Street broker—all of whom are striving to live a meaningful life with less.
As we begin our spring cleaning, let this film inspire you to let go of possessions that may just be cluttering our living spaces. Let’s focus on the items that are essential, versatile and ethically produced while avoiding purchasing the products that we simply don’t need.
This event includes a film presentation, complimentary refreshments courtesy of Goodness Me!, a free eco-prize raffle thanks to MEC, and an audience discussion on how global issues can be tackled locally.
Admission is $5/person to support event costs and FREE for BG Members. Not a supporting Member yet? Sign up today here!
Our events are green, so we invite participants to bring their own mug for a complimentary refreshment and to walk, bike, carpool, or use public transit when possible!
