Eco-Movie Event: Minimalism (Older Adults Centre)
Tuesday November 21 2017, 1:00 - 3:00 pmFilm Length: 80 min
Venue: Older Adults Centre - QEPCCC - 2302 Bridge Rd.
Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things examines the many flavors of minimalism by taking the audience inside the lives of minimalists from all walks of life—families, entrepreneurs, architects, artists, journalists, scientists, and even a former
Wall Street broker—all of whom are striving to live a meaningful life with less.
As we begin our spring cleaning, let this film inspire you to let go of possessions that may just be cluttering our living spaces. Let’s focus on the items that are essential, versatile and ethically produced while avoiding purchasing the products that we simply don’t need.
Followed by a discussion around minimal living and lower-impact gifts. A brief demo will be given on making some simple, upcycled gift items and wrapping.
This event is intended for adults aged 50+.
