Eco-Movie Night: The Milky Way
Thursday April 12 2018, 7:00 - 9:00 pmFilm Length: 93 min
Venue: Film.Ca Cinemas - 171 Speers Rd.
Admission: Suggested donation: $5/adult - $2/student
Our feature film for the evening, The Milky Way, shows how women can reclaim their birthright and restore the nursing mother archetype. More than a breastfeeding promotion film, this is a film by, for, and about women. It is about the knowledge that inherently resides in every woman, how to access that knowledge and how to trust what we already know. It is a film that inspires women to say, “I can do that! I want to do that!”
The feature will be preceded by the short film “Lactaboobiephobia”. People around the world who ask women to “cover up” or “be more discreet” while breastfeeding suffer from this condition. Now even breastfeeding women suffer from this and feel self conscious or are afraid that someone will ask them to cover up! Nursing blankets are now a “thing” and are sold everywhere!
***BYOB – that’s Bring Your Own Bowl – and popcorn only costs $2.50!***
Entry is by donation, with a suggested donation of $5/adult and $2/student.
Presented in partnership with Halton Baby Friendly Initiative & Film.Ca Cinemas.
