Film Festival heading image - posterDo you live or work in Halton, have a passion for environmental protection, and an interest in film? Consider making a short film for our first ever Amateur Film Festival! Deadline to submit is Friday May 18.

The Halton Green Screens “Amateur Film Festival” is all about getting our local community involved in environmental stewardship. We want to hear the local voice on environmental issues! Qualifying videos will be uploaded to our brand new YouTube channel, and may be included in our schools program. A selection committee will choose films to be shown on the big screen at a public event in June. Full details available here.

Who can participate?
The Film Festival is open to all residents of Halton, including post-secondary students who are currently away at a college, university, or professional skills school. Get in touch if you’d like to book a workshop to get you started!

The Public Showcase:
Films chosen to be included in our public showcase in June will be shown on the big screen at Film.Ca Cinemas in Oakville.
